Referring and Scheduling Patients
You have two convenient ways to refer your patients to the University of Kansas Cancer Center:
Call 913-588-5862 or toll free 877-588-5862, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Phone calls are answered by experienced representatives in our Physician Consultation Center. They will provide you with detailed information about our physicians and departments at the hospital and help you schedule the most convenient appointment for your patient .
Fax a patient appointment form to 913-588-5785 (related medical records and/or insurance may be faxed to the same number).
If you use the patient appointment fax form, the completed fax form will be faxed back to you within one to two business days. It will include the patient's appointment date and time and the physician's name. The patient will be notified of the appointment by phone or mail and provided directions to the Cancer Center.
Patient Consultations by Phone
When you need prompt telephone consultation with a specialist, the Physician Consultation Center will find a specialist who meets your patients' needs and page that specialist to consult with you.

Transferring Patients 24/7
The Transfer Center is a one-call service center that assists all parties involved with the transfer of urgent and same-day admissions to The University of Kansas Hospital.

All transfers require a physician-to-physician consult to discuss the condition of the patient prior to acceptance.
